Netball Results 2017

A Grade:

One of our main focuses for today was to not to get complacent within our group. So far we have had an excellent season currently sitting on top and undefeated. Today we knew we would be in for a challenge playing Seaford but once again we discussed as group we wanted to take a bit of pressure off by getting back to the basics and playing enjoyable netball.

At this stage of the season we have done a lot of the hard work to get us into the position we are on the ladder. The girls played their best game of the season so far as a team and our combinations are gaining more confidence the more time they spend together. We welcomed back Sammy our superstar goaler. Sammy and Birgitta proved to be a weapon in the goaling end and their accuracy was deadly.

Courtney matched up against Sarah Hosking one of Seaford’s best players and shut her influence on the game down and played a great game. Emily and Jamie both came through WA and did a wonderful job with some excellent feeds and aggressive drives onto the goal circle. Our defensive end with Mardi, Jayde and Georgia proved to be another hurdle to Seaford that they couldn’t get through.

Best ons were Sam, Birgitta and Mardi. We set a goal for the last quarter to out score our opposition and finish the four quarters out right to the last whistle. We out scored Seaford 17-7 in the last quarter.

We came away with a very comfortable 26 goal win and it proves that we are a force to be reckoned with

B Grade:

Today we started like a house on fire. We scored heavily and restricted Seaford to 3 goals at quarter time. Every combination we put out there today worked really well and we won every position on court.

Our main goal was to go out there today and enjoy ourselves and bring the fun back into the game. By half time we were leading very comfortably and decided to put the foot down a little bit more and destroy our opposition. We set some goals as a squad for the second half which we were able to accomplish.

Best on today was once again Emily who continually shines in the goaling ring. Other standouts included Breanna Neighbour in the defensive end who is so versatile stepping into goals for a quarter as well and Bridgette who controlled our centre court.

By the end of day the whole team had played some really excellent displays of netball and we annihilated our Seaford opposition by almost 50 goals.

Congrats to the B grade girls who have now joined out A grade team and will move to the top of the ladder. Well done girls.

C Grade:

Great team game once again by all girls.

2nd and 3rd qtrs were our best today showing great defence work together;  with mid court bringing the ball down the court and feeding the goalies who all played a great attacking and shooting game!
Kiah showed great ball work giving her the Cracked Pepper award today.

Well done team coming home with a great win 62/35.

D Grade:

Today we came home with a percentage booster, winning 40/16. It took about 10 mins to get our game style going but from then we were unstoppable

We had many changes, with everyone having at least a quarter off. It didn’t matter who played where or with whom, we played a great team game

Briony received the Cracked Pepper award today – moving and shooting super well in the ring; assisted by Nicole – also a great game.

Great defence today, and our mid-court players in bringing the ball down the court – pulling it all together as a team to get the win!

Well done all girls, Go Bullettes
