Bullettes GD Review: Rd 3 2017

Updated: April 27, 2017

A Grade:

In our game against YCW this week we welcomed back Jess B in our goaling ring and what an inclusion she was. There was a number of combinations that hasn’t played together before, but this did not stop us from tearing the game apart from the first whistle. By half time we were up 35-11. We took full control of the game from the get go and we won every position right across the court.

There was not one player who could be questioned on their performance and everyone played their role and did a fantastic job. Goals were set each quarter and the team accomplished these. Special mentions to Bridgette who played 7 quarters for the day and had done so for the last couple of weeks. She was awarded the Anzac Day Medal. A very well deserved award to a star and new player to our club who is really coachable and loves her netball. Birgitta was also a standout in goals aided by Jess B. Jayde A our co captain was also standout in defence.

The best ons this week could have gone to any of our A Grade this week. We ended up with a great win 66-20. Well done girls. We look forward to our next challenge in Seaford… Go Bullettes!

B Grade:

Today we played YCW at home who were the 2016 premiers in B grade. Unfortunately as it was a Sunday and a long weekend for some we were missing 5 of our B grade girls. It was always going to be a tough ask and added to the challenge was the fact that YCW dropped down some A grade players.

We had a competitive start but YCW still managed to get a lead of 6 goals. In the second quarter we managed to draw the gap back to 3 goals at half time. In the third quarter we were down by 5 goals and then We ran out of puff as we didn’t have any rotations this week and we couldn’t execute under fatigue. We went down by 12 goals in the end. Best on was to Nadine who was consistent in our goal ring for the whole day. Rachel M was also outstanding in the defensive end and this week Brooke was also strong in the mid court.

It was a healthy loss and something we as a whole squad can learn from. We will be much better from this loss and we look forward to taking on Seaford next week.

C & D Grade:

A combined report for C and D Grade Bullettes!
Both these teams played extremely well!

YCW played with loaded teams and for D Grade to only lose by 4 and C Grade to only lose by 6 was a great achievement! I can’t express enough how these teams are starting to come together as team players which is showing in their games, as every week they get better. I am very proud at how every player played all did their best in their area of play!

Well done to all girls and we will get them next time!
