A Grade:

Today we met YCW in windy conditions. We set some internal goals before the match which we managed to take a big step forward in achieving

YCW managed to be only 7 goals down at quarter time. Today we trialled a few different combinations which all proved to work and work well. By half time we were in complete control of the game but were only in front by 10 goals. I raised the bar and challenged the girls to finish off the game and double the lead by the end of the match. The girls put there foot down in the second half and more than doubled the winning lead.

We came away with a comfortable 24 goal win. Standouts for today were Georgia and Jayde in the defensive ring who continue to prove they are a fantastic combination. Sam was also a standout once again in the attacking circle barely missing a goal and is super smart with her setups.

Unfortunately Renee went down with a serious wrist injury as she always puts her body on the line and this is devastating for Renee and the entire playing group. We wish Renee a speedy recovery and have fingers crossed that she will make it back in time for the finals.

Fantastic job by all girls today. Looking forward to a great challenge in Mt Eliza next week

B Grade:

Today we met YCW on there home court in very windy conditions. Today was a very challenging day for all of us.

YCW managed to get the jump on us by a few goals by quarter time and in the second quarter not much changed again as YCW continued to get into our heads and stay on top of us. Half time could not come quick enough.

We took a short walk to reset our mindsets and come into the second half with a fresh start. This proved to be worth while as we started the second half much stronger and managed to get on top by a few goals going into the last change. We were now playing the netball we knew we all could but it just took a bit of time to click. Credit to everyone today who dug extremely deep to get the job done.

We came away with a 9 goal win. Nadine and Emily were standouts in the attacking circle proving to be to smart for there opponents. Up the other end of the court Michelle was a standout in the defensive ring standing up when it counted in the second half.

Awesome job girls. Looking forward to our next challenge in Mt Eliza.

C Grade:

Today our girls had a score to settle. Last time we met with YC they beat us, so today we had to redeem ourselves and fight for top position on the ladder and that we did!

Great game with both teams leading at different times. Our defenders Sara, Mel and Elise were outstanding, applying the pressure for the whole 4 qtrs. Tayla and Kiah played our centre court today and played like the little pocket rockets that they are.

Dani and Steph had the hardest time today with YCW defenders not being the easiest of players, but Both Dani and Steph held their ground, used their skills with passing and shooting to come up on top never giving up.

Izzy was our team trooper today, played 1 great qtr but we then decided to stay off and keep the team as it was and not interrupt the play. Great team effort Izzy as she put the team first not herself!

Clear on top now with 3 weeks to go we have our sights set on the big Prize. Today everyone was best on court!

D Grade:

Today we welcomed back Chantelle, Laura and Alyce. We had a hard game today and lost by 9. Everyone has great ability and it’s there, we just need to put it all together.

Today our passing let us down which in turn gave them the turn over to a goal. However we never gave up from one end to the other.

Best on Court today was Bec and Kelly in our defence – they went over and above and busted their butts! Our youngest Briohny showed them who’s boss today as she is learning to stand her ground.

Wonderful effort today by Nicole who played with a broken finger, tough as nails.

Good effort girls let’s beat them in the finals!
